Well Done, Good and Faithful Servant, Beth Moore

Two thousand five hundred women and men were singing around me. Onstage godly renowned speaker and Bible study author Beth Moore, after three sessions of Bible teaching, had slipped away to stand in the background, partially blocked behind the piano, singing along with us and the worship team. After a song about everything being about God’s glory and renown, she smiled, seemed to nod, and then she picked up her Bible and disappeared offstage.

The worship team sang one more song, subtly dropping out their microphoned voices and instruments until it was just the audience singing along to how good God was and about how much we loved him. And as 2500 people sang in a dark room, the vocalists and instrumentalists quietly walked offstage, leaving an empty blank stage. We finished the song. A holy silence fell.
Filled with peaceful joy, a heart and mind full of three jam-packed sessions of Bible study, prayer, and worship, I felt thankful, thoughtful, and revived.
People gathered their belongings quietly, and we filed out of the giant church auditorium, smiling gently at each other, our minds still full and thinking, our hearts still worshipful.

Driving four hours home on rainy Iowan highways from West Des Moines back to the Twin Cities, Minnesota, I found myself thoughtful, thankful, reflective.
Bible study author and speaker Beth Moore is 69 years old and is stepping back from touring speaking events, but she will always be passionate about loving Jesus and about loving to study God’s words. Her Bible study books and videos shaped me all throughout my twenties and early thirties, and God used her to write his truth across my heart and life.
Well done, my sister. Thank you for showing me Jesus and for building a hunger for God’s word. Thanks for shaping my teaching style too.

I am very disappointed with this. Beth Moore is a false teacher. I will pray for you, Jen,.
Hi Linda, thank you for stopping by. Thanks for sharing your heart here. I value you and your perspective, my friend and dear sister in Jesus. I’d love to hear more of your thoughts and heart on this, learning from you. Would you be open to emailing me, citing the issues in her materials?
Thanks again for sharing your heart and for praying. What a gift it is to pray for our brothers and sisters in Jesus, huh? 🙂
